ZILBERMAN FOUNDATION

ZILBERMAN FOUNDATION

A UK Charitable Trust supporting young filmmakers and providing a platform for creative talent in the international film industry.

Zilberman

The Zilberman Foundation was established in honour of film producer Misha Zilberman, and today gives its support to a new generation of storytellers: the creators building audiences and craft in short-form video. We back the people making work built for YouTube and the platforms that came after it — with the same belief in opportunity, creative courage and connection across cinema that shaped Misha's career.

1952 – 2020

In Memory of Misha

A chance encounter led to an opportunity and Misha Zilberman's lifetime love affair with cinema began. He started sweeping studio floors; in time his films swept awards, in a career in which he produced more than forty feature films. Described as someone with “endless courage to speak the truth and make everyone feel loved,” his life defined what makes great cinematic storytelling. The Foundation continues that spirit today by supporting young filmmakers and providing a platform for creative talent in the international film industry.
